GMADA Launches Major E-Auction of Prime Properties in SAS Nagar & New Chandigarh

Punjab Govt E-Auction Offers Prime Investment Opportunities

 

The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA), under the Government of Punjab, has officially announced the launch of a large-scale e-auction of commercial, residential, petrol pump, hotel, group housing, and institutional properties. The auction is set to take place across two major urban hubs – SAS Nagar and New Chandigarh.

The e-auction begins on August 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon, and will conclude on August 18, 2025, at 12:00 noon. Interested bidders are invited to participate through a secure OTP or DSC-based verification process. It is mandatory for participants to use GPS-enabled devices while bidding.

This auction offers a wide variety of premium plots and sites:

  • 99 SCOs, Booths & Shops starting from ₹83 lakh
  • 21 Residential Plots starting from ₹1.55 crore
  • 1 Petrol Pump Site priced at ₹21.62 crore
  • 9 Hotel Sites (including 1 Budget Hotel site) starting from ₹73 crore
  • 6 School Sites (1 Preparatory School & 5 School Sites) starting from ₹22 crore
  • 6 Commercial Sites starting from ₹64.58 crore
  • 6 Mixed Use Sites starting from ₹238 crore
  • 2 Group Housing Sites starting from ₹374 crore
  • 7 Mixed Use/Commercial Sites starting from ₹280 crore

Allotments will be made on the basis of a 10% upfront payment of the bidding amount (additional applicable cesses will be charged). To encourage full payments, GMADA is offering a 15% rebate on the remaining payment if paid in lump-sum within 120 days from the date of allotment.

Important Instructions for Bidders:

  • NEFT/RTGS transactions may take time; bidders are advised to initiate payment at least 24 hours before auction closure.
  • All property-related corrigenda and e-auction extensions will only be available on the official e-auction portal.
